Recycling Awards

The Walton County Recycling Center acknowledges

a very friendly competition between our

Walton County School System with our

1st annual Outstanding Achievement Award for

Recycling  ~  Paper,  Plastic  &  Aluminum.

Will your school be the 1st winner of the big traveling award this year?

 

2007-2008

1st place for the most Paper: 

Walnut Grove Elementary School with 4719 lbs or 2.35 tons

1st place for the most Plastic & Aluminum: 

Social Circle Middle & High School (combined) with 4145 lbs or 2.07 tons

Sharon Elementary School combined total for Paper, Plastic & Aluminum

was 6441 lbs or 3.22 tons

 

Every school received an Honorable Mention Award for each schools participation in our

program which is geared towards the preservation of our environment.
