Therefore, when these fish, birds and

wildlife are eaten by humans,

we will absorb whatever poisons or toxins fish, birds

How long does it take for LITTER to decompose when exposed to the elements?

Paper: 2-5 months

Cigarette Butts: 7+ years

Plastic Bags: 10-20 years

Rubber: 40 - 80 years

Aluminum: 80-100 years

Hard Plastics: 450 years

Glass: 1 million years

Q:   How long does it take manmade trash which is buried in a landfill to decompose?

A:   It NEVER decomposes!

Take pride in your community !

Be respectful towards roadways leading to your neighborhood.

Keep a small litter bag in your vehicle to store trash until you get to a trash can or recycling container.

Litter can be prevented by education and modifying habits.

According to Keep American Beautiful, Inc., (KAB) there are seven sources of litter:

Motorists and Boaters
Pedestrians
Improper containerized commercial refuse
Improper containerized household refuse
Loading and unloading dock areas
Uncovered vehicles hauling debris
Construction and demolition sites
