Mathews Park

Mathews Park is a Community Park with passive recreation. There is a 3-acre lake, a trail that has been laid-out for cross country running, 2 pavilions, public restrooms and playground equipment
The Annual "Fishing Derby" is held here in the spring, and opens the Fishing season. Fishing is allowed after the Derbies through December.
An Environmental Study Area that was developed by the Soil Conservation Service and FFA of Monroe HS is a unique feature of the park.
